COMPANY INTRODUCTION

We are the leading brand of manufacturing natural stone countertops within Middle Europe. As a pioneer in monolithic natural stone kitchen islands, we operate as an international supplier under the brand name ST-ONE. 190 employees achieved a company turnover of 23.2 Million Euros in 2015. Strasser Steine is divided into four divisions:

• kitchen countertops
• natural stone kitchen island ST-ONE
• landscaping stones
• natural stone monuments

The by far top division is the manufacturing, delivering as well as installing of kitchen countertops. Out of ceramic and quartz composite worktops, natural stone is the most important and biggest edge within the company’s group. Strasser Steine currently leads the Austrian domestic market by 70% for kitchen and furniture showrooms. Germany and Switzerland as well as the Czech Republic are also geographically strong and will continue to become a stronger part for the group.

The company was founded in 1963 by the now deceased Franz Strasser. Successively, he developed the firm to one of the most important natural stone companies in Austria. In 2005, the company changed hands from the founding family to the majority shareholder as well as Chief Executive Officer, Johannes Artmayr. In the course of the restructuring, the company was divided in four divisions. Annually we produce more than 14,000 kitchen commissions – from our 3600 stored slabs. The long lasting know-how combined primarily with the ideas of our on-site trained stone masons ensures the quality in the manufacturing.

In 2012, the successful advancement enabled an investment of ten million Euros for the construction of the headquarter in St. Martin i.M. as well as the most modern natural stone production in Europe. Through the founding of a distribution company in Kösching (near Ingolstadt) we have been present on the German market since January 2016.

Our logistical centre uses a high bay rack, which is 52 metres long and seven metres high and is currently the most modern natural stone production in Europe. Up to 2100 worktop pieces can be stored immediately and it is much more than just storage. The huge 28 level shelving system controls the whole manufacturing process. All machines are situated around the high bay rack and are automatically supplied with the needed worktop parts. Upon completion of processing, the pieces are restored again and will be delivered to other machines if needed.
